Then saith he unto his disciples, The harvest truly [is] plenteous,
but the labourers [are] few; Matthew 9:37
Very few people are willing to let go of the comforts of the modern world to
enjoy the labors of liberty. I have known very few that were willing and
thankful for the opportunity to carry the burden of freedom for themselves and
others.
Brother Timothy and his family at His Church at Spoon River were among the few
who have been willing to
literally put their shoulder to the plow.
And Jesus said unto him, No man, having put his hand to the plough, and looking
back, is fit for the kingdom of God. Luke 9:62
I regret to inform you that on the morning of February Seventh, Brother
Timothy at His Church at Spoon River in Illinois lost Wendy, his wife and
mother to their children.
Without warning Wendy Kay Howerter died at the Church the Seventh day of
February. She had shown no sign of having any problem and was cheerfully going
about the domestic chores of a Mother and Wife. Rachel, their daughter, was in
the Pastorate at the time and when Wendy became silent and did not answer.
Rachel called to her and went looking for her mother. She found her lying down
and unresponsive.
She called to Timothy, who was working outside but Wendy had already passed
away.

Wendy Kay is survived by her Husband Brother Timothy, Rachel 12, Caleb 10,
Samuel 8 and Mathew 3. She will be buried along side her son Joshua in His
Church cemetery on Friday, February 10, 2006. There will be an open service
there for all who can attend.
There are few that could match the dedication and hard work that has been done
by the ministry His Church at Spoon River, in Illinois. The loss of Wendy
reaches far beyond the personal loss of the family.

We are still planning a portable sawmill demonstration and project soon[date?].
They will be sawing up logs for lumber to be used by the Church in building
projects. A retreat house burned down this last fall. DavidW@hisholychurch.net
